ACQUISITION OF LAND DECLARATION BY THE LANDS AUTHORITY WHEREAS by the Declaration of the President of Malta of the 18th February, 1993 and as corrected by another Declaration of the 30th April, 1993, the undermentioned land was declared to be required by the competent Authority for a public purpose in accordance with the Land Acquisition (Public Purposes) Ordinance (Chapter 88) and that its acquisition thereof was to be by title of Public Tenure. I hereby declare that the undermentioned land is still required by the Government of Malta for a public purpose in accordance with the Government Lands Act (Chapter 573) of the Laws of Malta and that its acquisition thereof is to be by absolute purchase. 6th February, 2025 Description of the Land The following land in Floriana: Premises number 4, Triq Sant’Anna, Floriana. The above mentioned land is shown on Land Drawing 149/1985, which may be viewed on demand at the Lands Authority, Auberge de Baviere, Valletta. That this declaration is being issued for the purposes of Article 68 and 69 of Cap. 573 in the way explained in Article 68 (3) of Cap. 573 or according to Article 38 of the same Cap. 573 and the provisions of Articles 52, 53, 54 and 55 of Cap. 573 apply for the same. That this declaration is being issued for the purposes of Article 44 of Chapter 573. The compensation offered for the above mentioned plot of land is three hundred and sixty four thousand, three hundred and eighty nine Euros and fifty seven cents (€364,389.57), Is-6 ta’ Frar, 2025 1461 skont l-istima li saret mill-Perit Michael Anastasi, li estratt tagħha qed jiġi hawn anness ma’ din id-dikjarazzjoni. Architect’s Valuation (Original in Maltese) Valuation of premises no. 4 in Triq Sant’Anna, Floriana, required for expropriation purposes for Public Purposes. As instructed by the Chairman of the Land Authority, in terms of Government Lands Act, Chapter 573 of the Laws of Malta, I am assessing the freehold and unencumbered value of the property at Triq Sant’Anna, Floriana, which is required by the Government for a public purpose, and this after having considered the locality, size, shape, state and potential, in terms of the plans and boundaries of the development zone as officially published by the Planning Authority, as well as the value of similar properties nearby and other matters which may effect the value of the same property. Premises number 4, in Triq Sant’Anna, Floriana is shown marked as premises number ‘4’ on plan L.D.149/1985 and valued for three hundred and sixty four thousand, three hundred and eighty nine Euros and fifty seven cents (€364,389.57) Note: This is an extract of the original report given by me on the 30th July, 2024.
